AmpGuard™ IFU
FOR USE ON BELOW KNEE AMPUTEES (BKA) ONLY

  1. Apply the knee immobilizer, leaving the bottom or distal end Velcro strap unattached.
     

  2. Position the AmpGuard™ with the “BACK” marking in back of the limb and the JMar Medical LLC and AmpGuard™ logo in the front.
     

  3. Put the knee immobilizer stays or struts in the AmpGuard™ groove.
     

  4. Secure the AmpGuard™ with the bottom knee immobilizer Velcro strap.

 

NOTE:

  1. The AmpGuard™ should not touch the dressed distal end of the amputation.
     

  2. The stays or struts may bend inward or outward depending on the girth of the calf - this does not affect the integrity of the AmpGuard™.
